Ordering your Prescription

You can order your Repeat Prescription in the following ways:

  • Online – To request repeat prescriptions, please use your online account. If you do not have an online account, please use the following link to request access to your online account registration details.
  • By hand – Please leave your written request for repeats at reception
  • By post – Fill in the prescription form using the slip issued with your last prescription and post it to the surgery with enclosed stamped and addressed envelope.
  • By Fax – 0208 398 9825, you can print off a Repeat Prescription Request Form to fax

To avoid mistakes; sorry, but we do not accept requests for prescriptions over the telephone.

  • Because they are potentially addictive we will not prescribe tranquillisers such as Diazepam, Temazepam, Zopiclone and Zolpidem on repeat prescription.
  • Antibiotics will also not usually be given as a repeat prescription.
    Please see a Doctor if you feel you might need these items.

Repeat Dispensing

Lantern Surgery has a 28 day prescribing policy but if you are on a regular monthly prescription it can be prescribed on a 3 – 6 monthly basis.

This is lodged with a local chemist (Repeat Dispensing) and can be collected once a month from the pharmacy. Please do ask if you would like to get your prescription in this way.

We do require 2 working days to process your prescription request; this excludes weekends and bank holidays.

Local Chemists Collections

Some local chemists will collect your signed prescriptions from the Practice and have the medications awaiting collection at their shop. Alternatively simply collect your prescription from the surgery reception if you prefer to take it elsewhere.

The Chemists who will do this are:

  • Wallis Jones Pharmacy, Hinchley Wood
  • The Claygate Pharmacy, (in Johnsons Newsagents )
  • Boots, Hare Lane, Claygate
  • Central Pharmacy, Esher
  • Boots, Esher
